Question about 1998 Toyota Celica
Battery went dead replaced battery and tried to restart the panic alarm comes on when i hook up the battery. but the car will not crank or anything ,and when u turn off the key the panic alrm does not come back on
Try this: Unhook the battery. Reconnect the battery. When the horn starts to beep, cycle the ignition key in the ignition on-off 5 times. This resets the alarm; the cycling of the key. Please advise me if this works for you.

I don;t know if this works with Toyotas but I just had this problem with my Honda. You have to put the key into the driver's side door and turn it left and then right. That cuts it off.
