Radio code Bought a replacement radio for my A4 but it didn't come with the codes as it was from a salvage yard. I have my receipt &VIN. After I switched the radios out the newer radio went into SAFE mode. I took it to the dealer and they want to charge me OVER $100 for the code. Is there ANY WAY around this? Dealers used to do this for free! Can you help me please?

All you need to do is find a person who unlocks stereos which would cost no more than 25 pounds

I have a 1998 728i but the radio stop working and all pixels are gone so i bought a used radio online but when get it and put it in my car it ask me for a code can someone help me please

the code should be on a sticker on the radio itself. You have to take the radio out. If you bought it from a salvage place, they tend to write it on the top of the radio with a paint pen or grease pencil. If you dont have the code, the radio is worthless. If you dont know the VIN of the car it came out of, even the dealer cant help. The code was on a card in the original owners manual book.

Bought a car at auction and had no radio so I bought radio at salvage yard not going it needed a code

It's next to impossible to get the code for the radio, and if the junk yard doesn't have it they should refund you.

Needs radio code for 1998 audi a4

You'll have to bring the car to a dealer. With the VIN and the serial number of the radio they can look up the security code. Be prepared - you might get this done for free or a flat charge, but many will charge up to an hour's labor. Be sure they give you the code written down for future use.
