What do you mean how much oil? Even after the oil leaked out (a decent amount) my oil is still at the fill line where its supposed to be. could anything else be leaking?

Quad 4 parts shouldn't be hard to find look up the quad4fourms.com and see what they can get you. The pan is a pain to change. I would pressure wash the engine and go from there. How much oil is your car using?

You could have a front or leaky rear main seal. The car only holds 4 to 5 quarts. It can't be that bad of a leak if it's still full. I would clean the pan and engine up with a pressure washer and keep a close eye on the level. The pan is aluminum and as said is pain to change.

I have coolant leaking from the oil pan of a ford f150 i just bought, is this a major problem? any replies or comments . will be greatly appreciated :

it is easy to tell the difference between water and oil
if it is water ,it can be hose , radiator, water pump seal or the like
if it is oil ( red oil ) is the transmission oil cooler lines , or black oil crank shaft seals or oil filter leaks
check the coolant level , take it to an accredited radiator shop and confirm if oil or water

My 79 ford courier is leaking oil badly when it hasnt been driving and parked for days

Here is what you must do, pressure wash the engine and the transmission top and especially bottom of all grease and oil residue then install a bottle of special die that glows under a black light, drive the truck for a 10 or so miles and then put it on a car lift and check for the source of the leak with a black light. On this old of an engine the leak are likely all over the place.

Is small transmission plan leakage a serious problem? Also what is a resasonable charge for front brakes and rear brakes. I was quoted $745 for front brakes and rotors, and $691 or rear brake pads and

Midas is a rip off artist and have been investigated and fined many times in my state for fraud mostly to do with brakes. The dealer can do the job cheaper than that by $100's and use better parts. A small transmission fluid leak is not a real problem unless you hate driveway oil stains like I do.

I have a 1987 Vette that has never dripped anything onto the driveway, until last night. It is really leaking good all of a sudden. Where should I look first.

First you need to identify what's leaking? What color is fluid? Green, Red, Brown? and where under car is fluid leaking from center, front rt, etc... Another option is check ALL fluid levels - coolant, oil, power steering, transmission.

Just bought last week have an oil leak in driveway the oil is light brown in color what could it be..

oil cooler lines, transmission pan, power steering leaking or axle seals. All are pretty common.

IF you open up the access cover for the oil filter you will see the cooler lines. If they are wet with oil you found the first leak.

The trans pan will be wet if the gasket is leaking

the front axle seal will be wet right where the axles go in the front end.

The power steering pump, lines, gear box will be wet if they are leaking.

1984 F150 302 Had oil pan gasket and both valve cover gaskets

you have several points to check!
the dip stick tube has a "O" ring seal at the bottom where it fits to tranny.
a reverse switch on tranny & the shifters selector shaft has a seal that may be leaking !
there are the cooler pipes from cooler to tranny [in & out] plus pump seal to the torque converter [leaks out between engine & tranny bellhousing] & then there are the drive shaft or shafts seals
so wipe it all clean & park it in a diffrent clean spot!
some will only leak when its runnung due to tranny,s internal pressure!

My 1992 isuzu trooper is leaking oil .it appears to be coming from top passenger corner of oil pan.however oil has coated parts to rear and above oil pan.oil leak is slow.could this be oil pump.what are...

clean your engine and look very carefully where the oil leak really come from, the cause why this leak happen, the engine was shutdown while the engine temperature is hot. usually the leak will come from the turbo. the engine must be idle for 3-5min before shutting off.

2002 impreza RS Major oil leak

If you heard a loud knocking.....I'm sorry to say, I'd hope for the worst. It doesn't sound good that you lost that much oil.

But try to clean it with a steamer or with some brake clean. Put a little oil back in and see where it is coming from. If it runs out without starting the car.....then you have definitely cracked the block, or the oil pan.
