Any dodge dealer can do recalls but there is no brake recalls on a 2006 magnum...only a couple of tsb and those are only free under basic warranty

My 2006 2.7l dodge magnum

Does this only happen when your engine warms up? If so you are wanting to look at the MAP sensor. You should have a code saying the TPS and the MAP sensors are not communicating. Do you have any codes?

After Changing the battery in my 2006 Dodge Magnum all the lights on the dash lights up and it's stuck in park

Forget about the dash lights, the brake light switch is bad, the shifter is powered through the brake light switch, change it and it will be fine.

I have a 2006 dodge magnum and the windshield wipers stopped working about a year ago. i have changed the fuse and still no response. shouldnt this be a recall?

It is only a recall when the problem has consistently been a problem across all magnums, or all dodge vehicle that have the same wiper motor. Generally unless there is a huge problem and there is a large outcry for replacement, companies do not recall items unless they post a safety hazard. Check with your dodge dealer and they should be able to tell you about any available recalls based on your vehicles vin number. Other than that it sounds like you need to purchase a new windshield wiper motor.

Shifter stuck in park.

The BTSI (Brake Transmission Shift Interlock) has a small spring retainer on the park safety. A small plastic tab breaks & releases the spring. This requires the shifter to be disassembled in order to be repaired.

Repaired mine Sunday May 1st and can provide detailed instructions if desired.

If you are lucky, your brake interlock is the only problem. There is a bypass switch located beside the gear selector. Remove the small "cubby" bin located next to the gear shift by simply lifting up to remove. You will note a small access port and a pink button contained therein. Press the pink button to override the brake interlock.

If you still cannot shift into park, then the shifter must be removed for the spring repair. Even if yours is still under warranty, you will get another shifter that will eventually fail due to poor engineering.

Please let me know if you would like my assistance.

Can't leave the garage

Spring in Shifter between shift indicator and transmission went bad. This is a known problem...apparently it will be a recall item eventually. Known to be on Chrysler 300's, Dodge Chargers, Avengers and Magnums. Covered under extended warranty, if not expect to pay about 400 bucks for repair. Tow truck and Dodge dealer say they see about 5 of these issues a day.
