Question about 1999 Chrysler Concorde

2 Answers

Car overheating My car is an 1999 Concorde LX. Recently I heard a strange noise and found the air conditionig blowing out hot air. Took it to the used car dealer and they told me it was my compressor. I drove the car home and it overheated. I noticed the fans were not working and I am going to the auto store and buying a fan relay and hope that's the problem. Any other suggestions?

When going over any bumps it sounds like the whole underneath is falling apart I've had it to at at least 3 different dealers and an independent auto repair, I've been told it is struts, power steering gear, to they can't find it. We go to Florida and have it loaded and the noise is a lot less noticeable. Any suggestions?

The low speed fan is not working, but the high speed fan is working.
When the car starts to overheat turn the air conditioning on low which will cause the high speed fan to turn on slightly cooling off the engine....

Needs refrigerant added. Also could have a bad condenser. As the vehicles age they are more prone to leaks in the system. May need professional help.

1999 Chevy Cavalier A/C blows hot air

More likely the recharge blew a o-ring and you have a leak. When your Cavalier was blowing hot air and a recharge fixed it that means it was low on freon which lets o-rings dry out, go back to the shop and have them leak test it. They use a pressurized dye to find the problem. If it's blowing it's not the cooling fan relay, they may have meant compressor relay but I'd have a leak test done first it's not expensive and easier that chasing unknown possibilities.

1999 Pontiac Grand Am Overheating

It is probably the problem. To make shure that need to change the gaskets, one of the symptoms use to be thet the temp rises when you are running at speed 50+ average, where is supposed that the car gets a lot of air due by the speed and nobody thinks that will be overheated.
