I think that it will be worth while to have the injectors and the ECU checked out by taking the vehicle for a scan.... It sounds like you may have a problem with one or more injectors leaking.... Pull out the dip stick for the engine oil and smell the content.... If there's a smell of petrol with the oil, that will be a good tell tale sign....
..... if not have an auto engineer check the vehicle....I hope not but, maybe it's something more serious.
