Sounds like you have an air lock in the system, look for a bleed screw on hose or pipe.
when vehicle is cold remove coolant resevoir cap and fill with the bleed screw loose until coolant comes out of screw. Then tighten screw refit cap and run engine.
if unable to find bleed screw raise the front of vehicle as much as possible and top up coolant.

The heater on my 98 ford expidition blows hot air at first and then blows only Luke's warm. If I shut heat off and turn back on it will blow hot and then turn Luke warm why

-Sounds like the system is clogged or the on off valve is not open
properly.
-Check the valve and flush the system. It should be good to go.

Good luck

I have a 2004 Dodge ram 1500 5.7. Luke warm heat

are you talking about your heater core for heat in the truck ? is there a valve in the heater hose that you have to open to get the hoses hot to the core this is under the hood , follow the hoses , could be clogged core , does it over heat , or get up to temp should be about 190 normal temp for most motors why did you change these parts anyhow , did you use the radiator fix bars leak stuff that you put in , bars leak , if so you may have clogged your core , take the hoses off the core and blow it out ,pain in the but you went this far , ck for that valve to open

2003 windstar blows luke warm air not hot

Temp gauge should read about 1/2 way if the vehicle engine is at proper operating temp. If it is lower it is why you have luke warm heat. If the temp is ok get the climate control system scanned for faults.

98 grand cherokee little heat.heater hoses hot top rad warm bottom is cold collant barely luke warm

While it doesn't seem likely, if you've changed, or had the thermostat changed.... I'd say you got a faulty thermostat. I am curious as to what your temperature gauge says the temperature of the engine and coolant is.. If your gauge is showing hot, I can think of two more possibilities... the water pump isn't pumping right... and, if the water pump isn't working right, the problem can be a cracked head or block, which can cause an airlock in the coolant system. Check the coolant or radiator cap.

I just replaced my thermostat and all fluids are full and my heat is blowing luke warm, the hose to the heater core is hot real hot still not blowing hot

Check the return line on the heater core. If its not warm or hot, the core has a clog. Will have to be replaced.

It won't heat what would cause that?

ther are a couple of things that would cause this. im assuming that the blower is still working (blowing cold air) .if the blower is still working i would check the coolant level in the rad first. if the coolant level in the rad is good then i would check the thermostat. you can do this by getting the vehicle up to operating temp and checking the upper and lower rad hoses. if one hose is really hot and the other is cold or luke warm i would replace the thermostat. ( watch out for the belts when checking the hoses!)
if both hoses are the same temp the thermostat is probably good. from ther i would check the two coolant hoses that are going into the car (you should be able to see them on the passenger side of the engine compartment going through the firewall into the cab). same idea as the two rad hoses , feel the tempeture of the two hoses and if one is really hot and the other is cold or luke warm, then your heater core needs to be flushed out . any more questions just leave a message !

94 dodge intrepid blows kinda warm but not very warm what do I do? We changed the thermostat

Since your blower is working and it is a heat issue, thats where we'll start,First thing is have you checked the coolant level in the radiator when engine is cold, make sure it is filled to top, next verify you have coolant in reserve ,Start your van and get it up to normal operation temperature,If your heat gauge on the dash works correctly it should be 190 degrees,Now lift the hood and locate the two heater hoses going into the heater assembly at the fire wall,Both hoses should be hot to hold on to,if both are hot and no heat inside your problem will be the blend air door in heater assembly.
if neither hose is that hot you need to replace the thermostat in the engine to get it up to 195 degrees.
if one hose is hot and one is luke warm then the heater core is blocked and to blame. hope this helps you.

No heat from heater, blower works ,fan works ,coolant good, pump good, luke warm heat, 1988

check the temp of the heater hose going into fire wall, make sure they are both the same temp,if they are replace the thermostat.
if one is hot and the other is not,the heater core is partially block and will need blowed out with air hose or replaced

My blower works for air/heat but only blow luke warm air. My freon is charged. Any ideas?

Look for a heater control valve under the hood connected to one of the heater hoses and make sure the valve is operating properly. This is what allows the hot water to pass through your heater core. Also your heater core may have a blockage.
