The brackets to hold the running boards are already pre-installed at the factory. Just make sure the ones you buy will fit the model truck you; bed size and cab size. I bought a pair and had no problems putting them on...everything fit.

I changed the dashboard in my 1993 2500 Chevy pickup, and now it will start, but it won't stay running. I put a new feul pump and filter on it. The gas gauge worked before i changed the dashboard, but...

some dashboards are made with printed circuits and there are tiny voltage regulators attached to them to regulate the voltage to the gauge. Hence: the false reading. Check the wiring, make sure you didn't crack the circuit board as it is a very thin plastic with circuit overlay.

Cluch falls to the floor board

Most likely a hydraulic operated clutch. The master or slave has failed, you need to figure out which and replace it, then bleed the system. Generally there will be a stain of leaked hydraulic (same as brake) fluid as a clue to which failed. Having a short rope attached to the clutch pedal will assist in pulling it back up during the bleeding process.

I have an 87 toyota pickup with a 22r carb motor. the charging and brake light came on. checked the voltage it had 12.4 volts with the motor running. i put a new alternator on it and the lights were still...

Charging voltage measured at the battery with the engine running should be 14.5. 12.5 is too low. Since you replaced the alternator, I would start checking connections. Such as where Neg battery cable attaches to chassis and ground strap between engine and frame. On a vehicle this old look for corrosion in the charging circuit cables and connections.

Wipers do not work on my 1994 chevy silverado pickup

I had to replace the wiper relay circuit board that is attached to the firewall. It was about $20-30 at Autozone and took me 10 minutes to swap it out.

Only wish I hadn't punched my windshield and broke it before hand.

Attach a diagnostic computer to the leads on your engine.
Check the codes to confirm that the onboard computer is choosing to shift under the correct conditions.

Or, get your local Dodge dealer (before they go bankrupt) to run the computer-diagnosis.
