Question about 1991 Ford F150

Winsheild Wiper motor replacement

I have a 1991 F150 Ford! The wiper motor is shot! I need to know how to get the motor off to replace so that when it rains I don't have to stick my head out the window. It appears that you have to get either under the dash or through the vents at the top on the outside. Would appreciate some info on how to get it off and replace? Thanks Bill

Take the outside vent off then the clips out of them and the wiper gears will slide right off then unbolt the motor itself it i more time consuming then hard you dont have to take the dash apart you can reach it from the outside and dont lose the little u clips

How to replace wiper motor on a 1994 Ford F-150

  • Locate the wiper motor, and disconnect the electrical wires from it by unplugging them. The wiper motor is in the engine compartment against the back firewall near the driver's side.
Disconnect the wiper arms from the wiper motor linkage by using the pliers to remove the clip.
Locate the wiper motor in the engine compartment on the back firewall and remove it with the proper size wrench. There are three attaching bolts.
Remove the wiper motor by twisting it around if you have to. The wiper arm linkage will come out with it. good-day !

  • 3Remove the cowl grill under the windshield wipers using the proper size screwdriver. This is the grill that you see under the wiper arms before the engine compartment hood starts.

My wipers do not work on low and intermittent speeds on '89 F150. We replaced the wiper switch and complete wiper motor assembly and they still only work on high speed. What else could be causing this...

the 89 may have a wiper control module that needs to be replaced... how many wires connect to the wiper motor? if more than two the module is built in. if only two then the module is re,ote mounted and probally under the drivers side dashboard

My 1997 Ford F150 dies whenever i turn on wipers

sounds like a new problem, I would try unpluging the windshield wiper motor under the hood turn on the switch inside the truck and see if it still dies, if it doesn't suspect a short inside the wiper motor itself (replace wiper motor).

I need help finding schematics for 1985 ford f150-302 6-cylinder fusebox.my wiper washer pump is'nt working and i don't have the owners manual.

The washer pump is on the same circuit as the wiper motor. If the wiper motor is working, then check the voltage, with a test light(purchase at the parts store cheap). When pushing the button to activate the washer, the test light should light up ,when touching the wire on the pump.and have the clip on the test light on a good ground on the vehicle. If it lights up,replace the washer pump,if it does not light up,replace the washer pump button.
