Who manufactured the tach? Maybe they have a web site and instructions? Did you tach come with instructions?

I looked at autometer instructions for your vehicle, have to use an adapter, it ties into the power wire for your coil pack. The adapter costs about 97 bucks, not including tax.

Different tach manufacturers may have different hook-ups?

There are coil compressors sold in auto parts stores, usually a set of three clamps. Be EXTREMELY careful to follow instructions, as a compressed spring has as much stored energy as a shotgun shell and can take a hand off or even kill if the clamps slip.

take the negative cable off the battery,unplug the plugs relaled to the ignition module.remove the ignition wire from the coils ;remember where they were removed from so that you don't cross the wires. once that you've done that remove each coil and the ignition module will be cler and available for you to remove the screws that holds the module in place. install the new module, be sure to follow all directions and repeat the removable instruction in reverse to install new module.

Hi ,I am having the problem with the air suspension and I'm getting rid of the air and getting it converted to the coil spring conversion .It is not that expensive to convert.I found a cite that gives detailed removal and installation instructions for anybody that's interested..hope it helps..good luck..

It is REALLY simple. You wil need a 7mm socket wth an extension and ratchet or a nut-driver handle. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the coil. Remove the 2 screws holding the coil to the Ignition Control Module. Remove the coil. Reverse steps to install.

Unplug the wires from the injectors and the coils move out of the way . Use a 1/4 drive rachet and a short socket break the bolt loose turn out with your fingers. Reverse to install.

it is under dash, drivers side. dash has to be pulled for installation. go to PDF PDFTown.com. should have instructions, or go to auozone.com, and register for znet. it has installation for your HEATER CORE there. good luck.

We had tacho installation problem with out 98 lancer with no tacho on the panel. we got a aftermarket one but when we had to wiring it up it needed a tacho signle from the ignition coil. The ignition coil is built into the distributor which made it hard. The 2002 is the same distributor setup as the 98 so you can get step by step instructions with diagrams and pictures from my page, you will see an link that says Mitsubishi Tacho installation. website is www.sureyya.biz let me know if you find it useful.
