Question about 2005 Volvo S40
My passenger door wont open, and its not a fuse its the door lock. I have the door upholstery off and I can see the lock, is there any way of manual opening the lock from inside the door shell, or do i have to use brut force, any comments is appreciated.
The lock mechanism is connected to a push bar. You can remove the clip from the end of the push bar to free up the lock.

Class 2 and Power Door Serial Data Links
The class 2 and power door data circuits are both serial data links. The serial data circuits replace cables in the vehicle by multiplexing (time-sharing) data to and from each device over a single wire referenced to ground. If the power door serial data is lost, both the rear door module (RDM) and the passenger door module (PDM) enters the sleep mode. With the RDM and the PDM in sleep mode, no power door operations are possible.
Your best bet is to take it to the dealer or an ASE certified repair shop .
