Question about 2006 Toyota Corolla

1 Answer

Toyota corolla I was driving my 1995 Corolla on Saturday and the car simply stopped. I waited a bit, then was able to travel a 1/2 mile or so before it stopped again. Had it towed to mechanic. Battery and starter seem to be OK -- it just doesn't want to keep running. My mechanic thinks it's a throttle problem but have not found anything conclusive. Battery is OK, electrical seems fine. Any ideas?

Possible fuel tank leak. Is the smell inside the car? If so there is an inspection cover under the back seat. If outside mist likely the fuel tank filler neck us rusted and leaking.

I have 1701000 miles on my 95 toyota corolla when do i need to expect it to break down? and what will break down when it does.

It's hard to answer this questions. It really depends on how well you maintained the vehicle - these cars can last well into 300k miles...but if anything does go it will probably be the transmission.

I have a toyota corolla verso with 89,000 miles ,does it have timing belt and when does it need changing

Most cars now a days have timing belts and most import cars have zero toleance engines, which means damage will occur. Phone toyota and simply ask and ask for a quote to replace it then you'll know the costs and if you want to attempt it youself but common rulle is 60-100,000 miles so you make the call.

I was driving and my 1992 diesel toyota corolla

Have you checked the fuel filter or changed it in awhile? The alarm going off may just be a fail safe for water in the fuel? has the temp. been o.k, and no discoloration in smoke that you have noticed? not familiar with a Toyota diesel, I would have it scanned to determine what the problem maybe.
Sorry I couldn't help you further.

Toyota corrolla,1.3 petrol 16v injection 1989

sounds like one of two things first is to check condition of all drive belts if they are all good dont let the miles fool you if the car has been driven a bit harder or had alot of uphill driving these reduce clutch wear enormously
