Can you give me more info? When you turn the steering wheel are there any sounds? A squeal, A whine, a low grumbling? As each of these is an indication to a different problem. Get back to me, and I'll see if I can help you.

If there is a load whine when you turn the wheel, it could indicate a loose PS belt. If you hear a growling as you turn the wheel that could be that your pump is low on fluid, or the pump itself is bad. If you heal a squeal, all the time, that could indicate the bearings in the pump are shot.

EPS stands for Electric Power Steering. Hyundais have electric power steering instead of belt driven pumps. But they still require power steering fluid, Check the fluid to see if it is low. That would trigger the signal to come on.

a rebuilt unit is less than $150.00 there is a tag on the steering unit you will need the number off that tag to get the correct part, there were a number of diff ones used in your car.
