Have you check your hoses? One of them might have a hole punture. Easy to replace once found. I had the same problem with sluggish and being noisy.

Car is sluggish, Low Acceleration, Check engine light flashes, Code reader indicates #1cylinder is out

Of course your car is sluggish, cylinder number one is misfiring, that is why the flashing check engine light, if you continue to drive this car this way you risk the exhayst system overheating and starting a fire. Ge the car tested for the cause of the misfire asap.

Cold outside, on interstate my Intrigue started acting sluggish. couldn't get to 70mph. was only going 50mph. Service engine soon light was flashing and kept flashing the whole rest of the drive even...

sounds like you have moisture in the gas tank. there's plenty on the market that will take moisture out of gas tanks. Home Depot, Menards, etc.

Engine run ok but diesel pump scream from back of car and when driving car at 40 to 50 mpr and put foot down car very sluggish and dont kick down and go

Change the fuel filter first. The pump can get noisy if it is underload from the filter being plugged or from the fuel pump starting to fail. If it is still noisy it would be best to change the pump at some point before it fails.

Electrical short

Your problem is pointing to the alternator. Since you say the alternator is only a year old, the I would check the tension on the belt (deflection should be about 1/2 an inch), and the belt itself. Your problem most likely lies in either the belt, belt tensioner (if applicable), or alternator.

Car drives sluggish in drive.

There are quite a few things that will cause the car to drive "sluggish," so I won't try to tell you all of them without a more specific indication of the problem (does sluggish refer to way the engine runs or the way the car handles, for example), but:
Looking at the car from the front, the dip stick for the transaxle is down very low at the left hand side of the engine, close to being under the battery. It is normally yellow. Follow the large water hose that runs down next to your battery. The yellow dip stick handle is right along side of that hose (to the right of it) down low. It will either pull out or unscrew.
Ordinarily, if the transmission has a problem, your D4 light will start flashing. There is a way to read the codes, given the number of flashes and whether they are long or short, but it's involved. If your D4 starts flashing (beyond just coming on when you put it in gear) you probably should have it checked.
Usually, the way an engine runs has more to do with fuel/air mix or ignition than it does with the transmission. Have you, for example, changed your air filter recently? Your plugs? But there are many other things, as I said.
Hope this helps.

is it getting noisy... that's usually the first clue... to rule out anything serious have the oil pressure checked.
