Question about 1997 Ford Escort
My check engine light is on. Had dianostics done. I was told cylinder 3 misfiring, replaced plug, wire, coil pack, injector, not responding, I was told to check computer. I need help finding computer. Help!
A compression check should be done to make sure that it is not a compression issue, also you can plug in a node light in place of the injector to see if the ECU is firing it off, then check for spark at the plug,
there is very little you can do by pulling out the ECU, most of the diagnostic work on the ECU is done through the OBDII port using a scanner,
hope this helps
