Thermastat location and replacement

It could be located near the water jacket at the intake manifold or possibly close to the water pump. Also it may be a separate housing where the return hose from the radiator meets the engine block.

How do i flush the radator

The correct way would be to use a flushing machine to keep from polluting the ground or storm drains.
You could remove the lower hose and run water thru the radiator from the radiator cap or overflow tank.

Car keeps overheating

Assuming the engine is ok, no leaking head gasket or exhaust problem, you need to know if the radiator fan comes on when the engine reaches 225 degrees. It should also come on when you turn the ac on if the ac works.
Its also possible you have air in the cooling system.

Drained radiator added prestone Radiator flush refilled and started overheating, drained radiator replaced thermostat and now I get no heat from heater,Radiator water is hot

disconnect the heat hoses going into fire wall , put hose into one with pressure and flush as it sounds like it could be bloked in the heater core, the other thing that could be the problem be the hot ,cold switch as it restricts the flow to makes the heater hoter or colder , it might need tlc or replacing as it is manaul not elec

How can i tell if the water pump is working on a 1997 honda odessey already changed the thermastat

this is a tough one, the waterpump on these engines is to the rear of the engine with its on belt that runs off the rear of the cam. i have seen these waterpump impellers break apart and then the coolant wont circulate and inturn iit overheats,i guess you would need to remove the pump for a good look at it. if you are having an overheating problem and the fans work then i would look at the pump. another test to see if pump is working is to start the engine and keep feeling the top and bottom hoses both should get hot after a while then you can say pump is working but if the bottom hose is warm and it runs hot then i would look at waterpump. good day.

PUT KNEW THERMASTAT IN STILL BLOWING COLD AIR THE EXPERT TOLD ME

Most auto supply stores sell a radiator flush kit. You install an adapter in the heater hose and hook up a garden hose to the adapter. You must start your car and run the heater in the max hot position to flush the heater core.

Overheating, 1994 ford explorer has been running hot and blew a hose today

When was the last time you had your thermostat changed . Also is the fan belt in good condition and turning properly everything. Also ensure the water pump is working properly while the engine is cold start vehicle, remove the cap to your radiator let the vehicle warm-up and see if the water is circulating if so then you can rule that out... If not then your water pump is probably bad.
I hope this helps and good luck.

1999 DODGE NEON OVER HEATING ISSUES

You probably just need to "burp" your cooling system. Run the car (from cold) with the radiator cap open and the heater on full blast. As the engine heats up and the water level goes down, fill it up until it stays full and starts to overflow.
