There are two sensors on your car, one is before your catylitic converter and just after the exhaust runners come together, it may be hidden due to your heat shield, the second one will be after the catylitic converter and will easiest to see from under the car, if you look onto the site for autozone you can see a picture of one and if they have the guide they sometimes have pictures too

I have a 2001 Ford Focus with the codes p0136 and p0141 showing, what should I do?

both codes refer to O2 sensors. PO141 and PO136. 136 is sensor bank 1 sensor 2. 141 is bank 1 sensor 1. so this info will work on both sensors. This code means that the heated circuit in the oxygen sensor on bank 1 decreases time needed to enter closed loop.
As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it. The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0141. See also: P0135 (Bank 1, Sensor 1).
Symptoms You will likely notice poor fuel economy the illumination of the Check Engine Light.
Causes A code P0141 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • open or short to ground in the wiring harness
  • O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
  • O2 heater element resistance is high
  • Internal short or open in the heater element
Note: Typically a failed catalytic converter does not cause this code. You're more likely to see a P0420 code for a failed converter.
Possible Solutions
  • Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
  • Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors

I've replaced both oxygen sensors on a 2001 ford focus n erased codes po135 n po141 n the engine light turned off after I started the car the second time check engine light lit up again n has the same...

The p0141 and p0135 codes both indicate that the O2 sensor heater circuit isn't working. If you've replaced the sensor and you're still getting these codes, there is probably a fault in the wiring or more likely a blown fuse. Refer to your owners manual for the fuse location.

Here is what EngineCodes.com says about P0135:

The code means that there is a problem with the heater element circuit of the heated oxygen sensor. The control module monitors how long it take the sensor to warm up and start sending an adequate signal. The code is triggered when the sensor is taking too long to warm up. Water getting inside the heated oxygen sensor connector can caused the heated oxygen sensor fuse to blow. Before replacing the sensor, check for the condition of the heated oxygen sensor fuse and connectors. If the sensor and connector are OK, replacing the O2 Sensor 1 usually takes care of the problem

ALLDATA Editor's Note: Always verify #1 cylinder location prior to diagnosis and repair.

- Cylinder bank number one is the bank that contains number one cylinder.

Cylinder #1 on right side.

- The first oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 1 is numbered O2 Sensor 1/1.
- The second oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 1 is numbered O2 Sensor 1/2.
- A third oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 1 would be numbered O2 Sensor 1/3.
- The first oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 2 is numbered O2 Sensor 2/1.
- The second oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 2 is numbered O2 Sensor 1/1.

- If a V-6 or V-8 vehicle only uses one downstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) it is numbered O2 Sensor 1/2, even if it uses two upstream HO2S.

Location of the bank 1 sensor 2 O2 sensor on a 2001 ford escape

B1 means the sensor is located on the same bank of the engine that has the #1 cylinder. B2 is located on the opposite bank.
S1 means the sensor is located BEFORE the catalytic converter
S2 means the sensor is located AFTER the catalytic converter

You didn't say which engine you have, so I've included the diagrams of both 4 cyl and 6 cyl so you can see the banks

You may have water in the spark plug hole, or a shorted plug wire, pull #4 wire and look for water residue and a possible burn mark on the plug wire were it goes over the plug.
