Question about 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis
Anyone who thinks they can help please chime in... My 1989 Grand Marquis is a menagerie of mysteries to me. Here's my newest wrinkle... The car won't maintain its idle, it dies sometimes when i'm stopping, sitting at a red, or turning; however it starts right back up again--no problem I'm guessing its either fuel related or belt related, can you help??? Thanks in Advance for your time. how to change the fly wheel on a 1989 grandmarquise .
A simple test here may reveal the fault
put the hand brake on and in neutral
start the engine
if it idles ok then put your foot on the brake
if there are problems then have the brake booster replaced
that is indicated because at lights , you have you foot on the brake
when turning people use the foot on the brake to maintain control
