Question about Mazda MPV

Open Question

Mazda premacy yr 2000,ecu repaired but now immobeliser cuts engine off when turning on when it does sometimes gets going will cut out when warmed up.This is 2nd time i've had problem,1st time i spent £900 to get new one installed in 2004,then it was fine untill june 2007.I;ve spent another £900 with 2 different garages,now car is on my drive {sorn} for last year,any one out their with solutions?

Check the Belt and the Belt Tensioner. If the Belt Tensioner is not holding the Belt Tight enough it will cause the Battery Problem and the Check Engine Light as Stated above. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help that I can get! Thanks!

Sounds like petrol starvation - the pump may be in need of replacement.

could be vapor locking, losen up the fuel cap and see if that helps if so then replace it!!!!!!
and chane the fuel filter also

Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

It is very doubtful the ECU is the problem, how did you come up with this diagnosis? And yes they rebuild them. You can get one by number off old one here. www.rockauto.com

There should be a line connecting the solenoid of the transmission to the ECU. It could be the wiring is bad or the contacts need cleaning or the IAC valve may need cleaning or is not working.

Turbo cuts out under normal driving


That sounds like turbo overboost, ECU cutting the boost off. when you try and boost again feels like your hitting a brickwall, or when it happends feels like your hitting a brick wall...turning the car off resolves this.

Reset your ecu, disconnect the battery for 30seconds - 1minute.

I have a 1992 mazda b2600i that will run and cut off after maybe runnin for 10 min sometimes runs for 5 seconds but just cuts off and sometimes it starts back up immediatly and sometimes it dont


You might want to check the ECU. It is common for this model to have a blown capacitor. It is in the passenger side kick panel. It is common for this model to have a this problem. I had mine repaired.

Cutting out when first starting until warm


Fuel mixture adjustment not correct,gas filter may need change,also check all wires to spark plugs and distributor or secure and tight .! Reason why it takes time to start again it is flooded with excessive fuel that is why im thinking more on adjustment of fuel mixture and check timing !Hook up a code reader it see what pops up im sure you will get the readout and code and go from there

well if you have not cut the wires you can go to wal-mart or autozone ask for a after market wire harnis just tell them the make and model . but if you have cut them then get a light tester
