In the engine compartment on passenger dide on the firewall is the vent hose if you take a small screwdriver and try to clear the end if it is plugged further up you will need to blow air through it use only about 10 psi

Condensate drain

go under the passenger side and look on the firewall there should be a drain take an air blower or a can of compressed air like keyboard duster and blow it up into the drain this should clear any blockage in the drain and allow it to drain normally instead of the floorboard

Leaking water after stopping

Liquids in an auto..... Antifreeze (greenish/clear, watery, with slight oil feel to it, smells somewhat sweet), Power Steering Fluid (very thin oil, usually red tinted), Brake Fluid (very thin oil, clear), Transmission Fluid (very thin, red and kinda of sweet smelling), Motor Oil (amber colored or black, medium viscosity, usually smells acidic), Washer Fluid (usually water). Only other fluid is condensation that drains from the air conditioning drain pan after driving the car and the air conditioner has been on.

It can only be one of the above, really need a lot more information, to even begin to make a guess.

Heater core

If anti-freeze is actually coming out of the drain tube then yes, you could very well have a bad heater core. You may also be able to smell antifreeze while inside the vehicle if it is leaking. [Its a kind of sickly sweet smell] If just clear water is dripping out then this is most likely from normal condensation that is collecting and dripping off of the air conditioning evaporator core as the air conditioner runs. This condensation collects in the heater, a/c housing then drips out of the same little drain. Water from normal condensation will evaporate off of cement or pavement pretty quickly but antifreeze takes quite a while to evaporate away and feels slimy to the touch. It doesn't take much of an antifreeze leak before the cooling system gets low on so make sure you don't run low on coolant which can cause the engine to overheat.

Noticed a trail of water when I got home from work tonight . all guages are reading fine. live in new england and very heavy fog tonight. there are no noticable problems and just had a tune up last week

did you have your air conditioning on? if so, it is condensation dripping from the evaporator core, underneath around the firewall area. this is normal.

After my air conditioning has been on for about 30 mins it sometimes drips liquid on my feet - what is causing this?

The air conditioning coil that cools the car should be in a tray that collects the condensate and drains under the car or perhaps down through the engine compartment. After running the air if you pull into your driveway and stop you should see water dripping. If the drain gets plugged it will overflow the drain pan and drip in the car. This may be what is happening. Look around near the firewall for the drain pipe/hose. Be careful if the engine has just been run.

Dropping water

Are you loosing water from the inside of the radiator?...then it is a blown head gasket, or a cracked head/block. Is there steam coming out of the exhaust? Is the water dripping from the exhaust pipe and from the small factory hole in the muffler....then it is normal. Most likely, as every car with air conditioning, the evaporator core collects frost even in the summer and the A/C cycles to heat it, and melt it off. It is meant to drip through a small pipe, under the car, onto the ground. It is perfectly clear and clean water. It is normal functioning of the air conditioning. In the winter when the defrost is selected to clear the windshield, the automatic air conditioning produces cold dry air, which is then heated to clear the moisture. Frost collects on the evaporator core. The system cycles to heat it off from time to time and it will drip clear water in the winter when you didn't even know that the air conditioning was on. After all who needs air conditioning in the winter when you did not select it. The automatic system turned it on to dry the re-heated air to clear the moisture from inside the car.

Air condition leaks into driver side and rear floor board

The evaporator box drain is stopped up.Under hood, under the firewall, right below the ac lines, you will find the drain.Take a small wire, like balin wire and move it in and out of the drain hole to relieve the water,it will pour out pretty good.If this doesn`t work, try compressed air pressure.I hope this helps.

All vehicles have a drain for the A/C evaporator - look for the drain hose, disconnect and make sure it's clear.

Mercedes a class

Have you been using the air conditioning? If so, that's probably condensation dripping out of the drain hose and is perfectly normal (there's a hose that comes down to the bottom of the car specifically to allow condensation to drip out onto the ground).
