Question about 2000 Ford Escort
When I purchased the van it was running perfectly now all of a sudden the immobiliser is stuck on there is now light on the immobiliser switch and the seperate key that you have to use to switch the immobiliser off doesnt seem to be doing anything as after inserting the key into the immobiliser slot then you insert the ignition key in the van will not even turn over if anyone knows of a way to disconnect the immobiliser I would be most grateful.
Hi not as simple as that have you checked all the fuses and corresponding relays and wiring connectors there is a web site that gives you the wiring diagrams for the security systems if you are ok with wiring diagrams then you will either be able to by-pass or or put a remote start switch in but as i said it is not a five miniute job if you want i can send you the sites details yates210456
