Power window motor driver door

The power window motor on the drivers side makes a loud grinding noise. the dealer said this is normal for a 2006 camry le 4 cylinder. all the other window motors don't make the noise. the dealer lubricated the tracks but it did not reduce the noise.

I would not consider that issue normal. Camry window motors are quiet.

Grinding noise when doors lock/unlock

Well the motor that locks the door is either breaking or either the wire or some part that moves is rubbing on something else. Take off the inner door panel and find the Exact location of the noise and you can replace the part. The door panel will be held on with screws and removable tabs that should pop out. Let me know if you get stuck. the parts can be bought at a dealer or gotten from a salvage yard

check www.car-parts.com for the nearest salvage yard if you want to go that route

my best to you

Well I think the best thing to do is to replace the windows control module, the one in the drivers door, but before that make sure is getting power and ground if not you found the problem.

IF there is a grinding noise then the motor is trying to move, so take out he unit and try to see if the motor works , if so the mechanism is faulty or the motor does not have power in the drive.
can be the driver switching the motor or the motor itself. Replace after testing the transistor drive.

ALL 4 WORK EXCEPT DRIVER WINDOW MOTOR

you probably need a new power window regulator, you can get one from your local salvage yard, however I would recommend a new one, from an auto parts store online or the dealer (most expensive option). to remove follow these steps:normally on the honda2.gif models there are two screws that need to be taken out, the inside latch area (plastic cap covering it) and the door pull (normally down in the bottom covered with a plastic cap), thin small flat blade will work to remove. once the is done you will need to pull out the latch area on the driver's window control panel, disconnect the connectors. set the aside, next you will need a thin flat blade screw driver or flat pry bay, start at the bottom of the door to pry out the panel, check for screws, if you cannot see any proceed to using the flat blade to remove the panel (will make a loud snapping or popping noise, this is normal) once you have loosened the panel, you will need to remove the plastic covering the access to the mirror (small triangle black plastic piece). this should now allow you to set the door panel aside, check to make sure you have removed all the clips. carefully remove the plastic lining cover the door, try not to tear or rip it. now you will need to remove the glass, there are two holes the allow access to the bolts for the window, connect your Power window switch and raise or lower till you can see them ( possibly a 10 mm socket) unscrew and set aside, hold the top of the window with one hand and lower the window to separate it form the brace. tilt the front side of the window down and remove glass set aside, replace your new window and re assemble as you have taken apart, most cases this is about two hours, Good Luck !!!

Simple things first, check the dedicated fuse for that window specifcally. if it's ok then check for ground and power at the regulator motor itself. If you have power and ground then it is the motor.

1999 Saturn SL2 drivers side window doesn't go down all the way then makes a grinding noise, when put up makes a grinding noise

It sounds like there is somthing wrong with the window regulatior ( the motor in the door that moves the window)
1.Remove the inner door pannel (all parts)
2. hook up the window controls & try moving window up or down, make sure window is moving propley in tracks and siscor arms are not bound up.
3.If all is well with the above stuff, just replace the window regulatior and test befor you reasembil the door pannel
