Question about 2006 GMC Yukon
I have the same problem. This is a faulty actuator switch according to GMC which controls the tailgate and the hatch window. My 2006 has 90,000 miles on it (I purchased new). Warranty is not an option and cost is estimated @ $600.00 in Arizona. As far as I am concerned, it is safety related issue and should be a recall since there isn't a mechanical way to open the tailgate or window as an escape route in the event of failure.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PROGRAMMING PROBLEM. YOU SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY(3yrs/36thou miles) I WOULD BRING IT TO A GMC DEALER . IF YOU PURCHASED USED BRING IT BACK TO THE SELLING DEALER AND THEM SEND IT OUT FOR WARRANTY WORK. GOOD LUCK.
