Car wont start keeps blowing 50 amp maxifuse

Whuz happenin! I got a problem starting the vehicle. The 50 amp maxifuse in the fuse box under the hood keeps blowing when I turn the key to start the vehicle. I have never had this problem before.I drove the car all day had no problems and it just happened out of nowhere. Thecar has 117000 miles on it and is in excellent condition.I do have a problem with the rear tailight not working . The turn single and brake light still work but I have no running lights.Could this problem be causing the problem I have now or is it something else? The fuse blows when I put a new one for the rear tailight. Could something touching causing this problem be causing the car not to start? Thank you for any information can give me to help.

Sounds to me that something is deffinently shorting out. I would check the wiring for any point that may be bare and making contact with the metal part of the car. I would also unbolt the fuse pannel and make sure that there is not a bare wire shorting out on the back side of thefuse pannel. Also something else I have seen happen in commercil vehicles ( BIG RIGS ) is that a lite bulb has burnt out and the filament from the bulb is actually arcing out on the hot side of the other filament. Worth looking at and good luck.

MY 1991 ACURA INTEGRA 50 AMP FUSE UNDER HOOD KEEPS BLOWING OUT WITHOUT THE KEY BEING ON...... WHERE IS THE SHORT ? WHERE DO I START LOOKING/?

50amp only clue and you dont have the book, the FSM.
nor access to alldata.com?
if you did youd, not be asking right?
my guess is that fuse is in the mains box under hood..
and is a real fuse and not a circuit breaker found elsewhere....????
old car, and can be anything this old.
sounds like fuse #33 in the main box blew. and feeds the white wire main.
USA car? ABS opted? A/C opted. sure.
top cause, shorted alternator, so take off that big wire from alternator
and see if fuse blows now. (do so with battery neg lug removed
the remove alt big wire and tape it all up, so it can touch metal.
then put back battery Neg lug, and last the fuse.

the whtte feed goes vast places and runs whole sections of
the cab fuse boxes and power windows.

if the Alt is good.
then you must start dropping all white wire loads.
if it still blows, the harness is shorted.
I personally just uses a temporary circuit breaker in place of the
50 amp to find the short and an ampclamp DC ammeter.
fast.
login to alldata.com and follow the big white wire.

Keeps blowing the prime fuse under hood, gas gage won't read, heated seats won't come on,after truck starts, blows that fuse each time.Problem just started.

this problem is most likely caused by a fuel pump with high amp. draw on start up.use a amp meter.then replace fuel pump.

20 amp fuse in the box under hood that keeps blowing

Does it only do this when the heat or A/c is on full blast.. ( I had a few of my customers with this problem and they needed a new blower motor..)

Wont start has spark and fule

check the fuse box under the hood and make sure the fuel pump fuse is not blown.
if the fuse is blown, replace it and see if you have any fuel/spark. the fuel pump fuse controls almost everything electrical under the hood. if the fuse keeps blowing, then there is a short sumwhere in the engine wiring harness.
