There is a red wire with a spade connector on it on the driver side of the car under the hood. This is used to check the fuel pump for power. Connect this wire to 12 volt and it will tell you rather or not it is a wiring issue. Is the security light on when your turning it over?

2009 piaggio not getting fuel

Check if the fuel pump is turning on. The pump puts gas up to the engine so the injectors can feed it into the cylinders. The pump will have a fuse-check that first, then check the fuel pump relay under the hood.

Hello,

Based on your symptoms you described of your car, the first thing I would check is your fuel pump relay fuse. I believe it is possible, that your not getting fuel because your fuel pump relay is blown or has short and is not triggering fuel pump; Check your manual to find out where in your fuse box this is located. Sometimes its under glove box, under drivers side front left and sometimes under the hood. I would first check that to make sure your fuel pump is coming on. Thanks Mike

1997 Chevy Suburban Changed fuel pump fuel filter relay new battery engine turns over but will not start. Getting spark. Took off fuel lines going in top of engine not pumping fuel. Any suggestions

There is a fuse that deals with the fuel pump circuit through the ECM. If you haven't checked it's in the fuse panel under the hood in the engine compartment on the drivers side by the brake master cylinder. I hope that you have a cover for it with the names of the fuses. The fuse you want to check will be the fuse marked "ECM B". I gave you a picture of the fuse layout but it's not a good one but I did put an arrow to the one I think it is. I pretty sure that's the one but not 100 percent because it's pretty blurry. In any case there is a fuse marked "ECM B". I would check there if you haven't already. Other than that You may have to check your wiring. There is a fuseable link at the starter you may want to check if that fuse isn't blown. I hope this helps and good luck.

You can check to see if the fuel pump is bad..Remove gas cap and listen into tank while another person turns key on.If you here a buzzing noise the fuel pump is most likely OK...If you don't here anything Check owners manual for fuse location and check to see if there are any blown..There is also a fuel relay fuse under the hood

The car acts like it isnt gettin gas.Spray gas in throttle body it runs.I checked the pressure an it is good .Took the fuel rail of an touched power to the injecters an they click.Blowed threw them an they...

if you're getting a start from assisted"spray" start, then it"s definetly not getting fuel to the engine. it may be due to either a bad fuel pump#1 solution. but if you do not hear the fuel pump "hum" in the fuel tank when the key is turned to the "on" position",then the fuel pumps not pumping. this takes 2 people. 1 to turn the key to "on"position, while the other person is under the car listening at the fuel tank for the humming. you may also check under the hood for a bad fuel pump relay,in the main fuse box under your hood.one way to check for fuel pressure is to turn key to "on" position,go under hood to the fuel rack itself{silver} tubing that supplys fuel to the engine, look for a silver tubing on the top of your engine, you will see what looks like a tire valve stem, with a nail or sharp tipped object, depress the valve like stem and fuel will spray out very high and hard when the valve like stem is depressed.be sure to cover your eyes and that the engine's not running!the key will have to be in the "on" position.if this test produces small fuel pressure then you will need to replace the fuel pump, which is located inside the gas tank. most garages place the charge of replacement of fuel pump,on how much fuel is in the gas tank. the more fuel in the tank, the heavier it is to remove the fuel tank.be sure to check your fuel pump relay in the main fuse box under the hood 1st. it's in the main fuse box under the hood.hope this helps you! if you feel like this is not assisting you, please reposy your questions to fixya.com

Is there another fuse box besides the one under the hood and by the driver side door. I was trying to see if there was a fuse I was missing, before I go and buy a fuel pump.

CHECK YOUR PCM FUSE WHICH IS FUEL PUMP RELAY FEED CIRCUIT.AND CHECK THE 10 AMP. IGN. FUSE TO SECONDARY FUEL PUMP ALSO.I WOULD GET A SCANNER TO CHECK FOR FAULTY PCM BECAUSE IT CONTROLS THE FUEL PUMP.THIS SAVE YOU FROM GUESSING AND SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY.

My 99 chevy venture is not getting power to fuel pump

You probably have a bad fuel pump relay. It's in the fuse box under the hood.

I have 2002 mercury cougar v6,thats not getting fuel to the engine. IS there a fuse that controls the fuel pump? how can I determine if my problem is the fuse or the fuel pump. carolt1953@sbcglobal.net...

O.k. Possibly no power to fuel pump. Should be a fuse in panel under dash, or under hood in power distribution center, marked (underside of cover maybe) fuel pump. Plus there should be a fuel pump relay, probably under hood. Check your owners manual for locations if you can't find them. Let me know how you make out.
