Question about 1998 Chevrolet C1500
Leaking ps fluid out of the gearbox. Is this something I can replace? I'm by no means a certified mechanic, but I know my way around a car fairly well. How difficult is it to switch it out?
YES YOU CAN, REBUILT UNITS ARE AVAILABLE, SO ARE USED, ONLY DIFFICULT PART IS HAVING REMOVE ARM FROM BOX,CAN RENT TOOL, OR PURCHASE IT, EVERYTHING ELSE IS PRETTY NOMAL. START WITH COUPLER ON SHAFT ABOVE BOX, THEN PS. HOSES, THEN THE THREE MOUNT BOLTS TO FRAME. BE CAREFULL, NOT LITE.
