There is a crank under the rear passenger seat which slides between the rear bumper and tailgate into a square hole not easy to see that should do it.

How do you release a spare tire on a 1999 isuzu rodeo.

Go to Jack compartment and remove the Jack. The instructions should be with the Jack. If not, it is in the owners manual.

I cant get the spare out from underneath. there

Check your Owners Manual for the location of the Spare Tire Release. Either underneath the carpet, or behind a cover: there should be a Nut shaped Spare Tire Release that you have to turn (should be counterclockwise) which turns the cable mechanism, which will lower the spare tire. Once the cable has been fully extended, pull the spare tire out from underneath the vehicle. Move the tire slightly back "up" onto the cable and turn the "cap" so you can fit the cap back through the hole in the middle of the tire.

U need the special wrench to lower the spare, there is no other way since the cable hoist is under the spare tire.

How do i release the spare tire fom underneeth the car?

Their is a hole in the pannel below the tailgate you put the bar from the jack into it their is a chain holding up the spare wheel when you turn the bar the spare wheel lowers on the chain to the ground. Depending on the year of your Rodeo the bar may go under the pannel and not through a hole so check underneath behind the spare wheel and you will see how to turn it.

How do you release the spare tire underneath the truck?

The spare is held in place by a cable that is cranked up and down with a tool that is stored with the jack, the access hole for the tool to crank the spare down is in the rear bumper in most trucks, look underneath to see it and be sure.

Spare Tire

I had the same problem, but finally figured it out.
Open the back door, and look for a hole dead center, you'll see the crank plug that holds the tire up.
Using the jack crank put it through the hole into it and go counterclockwise. You should soon notice the tire beginning to lower. It seems pretty lame, but at least you don't have to hold the spare up with a jack and undo a bolt, which I have had to do on past vehicles.

Releasing the spare tire

if you look when you open the trunk right in the middle of the trunk there is a hole which your crank goes in to release the tire that is mounted under it, turn it either left or right to loosen
