Question about 1995 Dodge Ram
I have a 95 Dodge Ram 1500 and the car is running hot I know my belt needs to be replaced could this be the problem? Also we are having a hard time getting it to slip into drive.HELP!
Replace your serpentine belt, that's the first and foremost thing to do. Everything runs off that belt, including your water pump. If your radiator is not getting the hot air from the engine because the water pump isn't pushing it through, you are VERY likely to overheat and cause costly damage to your engine.
As for your issue regarding the truck having difficult getting into drive, I highly recommend having your fluids and filters changed out, as grime and buildup over the years can have a truly adverse affect on your engine and transmission. Have a transmission shop look at it & get you an estimate if the fluid change doesn't resolve the issue.
