Question about 1998 Toyota Corolla
Ok so i have a 98 toyota corolla with a manual transmission. I recently had the clutch replaced and when I got the car back it was running perfectly. One night when starting it, it clicked at first like it didn't want to start, but then on the 2nd try it did. The next morning when i went to start it, it did nothing, no clicks, nothing. I don't think the battery is dead because the lights/radio still work. I don't know what to do and have no one to really help me figure this out. And the alarm system is all of a sudden engaged for no reason, (it wasn't initially when it first wouldn't start) i don't know how to shut it off but I do know the car will not start at all even if nothing is wrong with it when this security system is engaged. I know it takes pressing the right buttons on the little keypad 'lock/unlock' button thing, but nothing seems to make a difference. I just have a dumb (but pretty) blue light blinking in my face telling me the alarm is on. I thought of maybe pulling the fuse for the alarm, but i don't know which one it is, i don't understand the abbreviations, i'm scared i'm gonna mess it up and the car will just explode and my owners manual isn't helping!!!! Finding the fuse box felt like quite the accomplishment until I realized I don't know which one it or how to change em or anything. I don't know what to do, I'm a girl that knows nothing about cars, and just need some help with all this. I feel all by myself and am overwhelmed with no car... I just need to know if there even is a fuse for the alarm, what all these abbreviations mean, and any possible ideas to why the car isn't starting. I've never had this problem before and have no reason to believe it is the starter or alternator because it never acted funny starting or stalled or anything, but I can't say for sure. I'm pretty lost at this point and ANYTHING will help. So if anyone has any ideas, please please please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. THANK YOU already. ~Sarah Jane.
I believe the tech who just did your clutch didn't plug in the starter solenoid perfectly or the positive main starter cable from the battery wasn't tighten properly.

When you try to start the car watch the dome light if it goes dim or out then you need to charge the battery or replace it which could be the same problem with you're alarm, a low battery in the remote or if the remote has been wet it could be shorting out causing this problem..
