I have the same problem. I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra. I usually have to start it twice before it actually starts up and gets going. The past couple of days after it starts it runs rough like it is going to die. This morning it won't start at all.

You have to change the Fuel filter on your car. Its probably do for one anyways so change that fuel filter and that should solve your problems.

AFTER I PUT GAS THE CAR WON'T STAR UNTILL I PUSH THE GAS PEDAL AND I HAVE TO KEEP PUSHING SO THAT I WONT SHUT OFF

If you have this problem only when you fill your tank I would check the fuel filter first. The fuel pump will also give you problems after filling the tank due to the extra load.

2005 nissan sentra... car will star but will not accelarate when steping on gas pedal... any suggestion, on what may be causing the problem.....

TPS or input to this. throttle position sensor and the gas pedal are both electronically controlled on this vehicle. Do you have an engine light on? you should for this problem. You really need a computer to check your inputs and signals. Test equipment is a must for this....can be very costly repair. Expensive guesswork. To start...check all fuses in the vehicle and make sure you have power

The car in question is a 96 Nissan Sentra. After the car starts it dies out and the engine is running really loud. We got the car started by pressing the gas pedal down all the way. What do you think that...

This most probably is an issue called "drowning" by some mechanics. There is too much fuel inside your carb and not enough air that is why when you push the pedal all the way it starts. When you step on the gas more air is let through to match the fuel. Remember, do not pump the gas pedal because it also pumps more fuel into the carb even when not running, this will cause starting issues.

1989 Sentra Sputters when give to much gas

If it is consistently the same spot when the car begins to act up i would bet your Throttle Positioning Sensor is at fault. When they go bad they get "holes" in them and then your computer cannot control the air/fuel mixture properly. They are not incredibly expensive ($35 from rockauto.com) and are usually easy to change.
