I as well have the same problem... I was able to get a tempory fix.... If you open the door, There is wiring that goes inside the door next to the hinge's of the door, there is a rubber sleeve covering the electrical wiring... Move the wiring around up/down sideways, while pushing the window switch at the same time, the window may go back up. Well at least I was able to get my window up again.
I beleive that there is some sort of short in the wiring harness.

My back window behind the drivers side, i hit button to roll down and it went down all the way and an hour later my driver window fell down too on its own. motor sounds like it works on driver window but...

It is a common problem for the window regulators to fail on many makes of cars nowdays, and that sounds like what going on with your car. They will have to be replaced as an assembly.

I need to have 'step-by-step' instructions for replacing the driver side windshield wiper arm on my 2000 Ford Explorer. Can you help me with this?

  • Turn your wipers off, using the stalk on the left side of your steering column. Turn your ignition off and remove the key.

  • 2

Pull the wiper blade up to lift it to the service position. Pull the front part of the blade down to position it at an angle.

  • 3

Pull back the lock pin on the center part of the wiper blade (where it connects to the wiper arm). This unlocks the blade from the wiper arm.

  • 4

Grasp the blade on each side and pull it down (away from the extended wiper arm) to release it from the "U" clip.

  • 5

Repeat the process for the other wiper blade, if desired. Removing the driver's side and passenger's side wiper blade is the same.

  • 6

Install the new wiper blade. Open the lock pin on the new blade, and then insert it into the wiper arm "U" clip. Close the lock pin and lower the wiper blade to its normal position.

Not a short, a shot is when a positive and negative wire touch, that blows a fuse, what you have is a problem with a component called the BODY CONTROL MODULE, you might say it is the central brain of all the electrical systems except the engine and transmission which have there own brain.
