Looking for location of the fuel pump relay on a 91 miata mx-5

Doesn't have proper fuel pressure and when running, runs very poorly only when the gas pedal is depressed. When running it's almost like it gallops. Would appreciate any information that would help if possible. thanks, michael

The fue3l pump relay is under the hood in a separate power distribution box.

Where is the fuel regulator

Have you replaced the fuel filter? Have you done a fuel pressure test? What exactly is the problem? More details will help... :)
If you are 100% sure that it is in fact a fuel issue, when in doubt follow the gas lines, the fuel pressure regulator is located right before the fuel rail feeding the injectors. Good luck!

My 91 blazer (Jimmy) just quit running. Looks like getting gas. Just turns over and over. Won't start. Just instantly WTF?!

What do you mean it looks like its getting gas ? Try removeing the fuel filter its an in line filter located on the frame rail under the drivers door . Then put a plastic soda bottle on the line that is comeing from the gas tank and turn the key to run for 5 seconds . If you don't get at least 3 to 4 ounces of fuel then your fuel pump is bad . Or its the relay in the glove box or its the oil pressure sending uint . Have you been haveing problems with the oil pressure gauge or dose it start hard a long cranking time . Long cranking is the relay oil pressure problems is the sending unit but it is a back up power supply for the fuel pump . If the filter is clogged the pump is probably shot you could try replaceing the filter but that pump olny last 10 years at best it just depends if its been replaced at one time witch may be likely seenig its 20 years old the new ones were better a lot of upgrades on them check it out i can't do it for you olny you can do it good luck

91 oldsmobile custom cruiser will not start, did test and we get spark. The fuel pump continuously run when key is turned. Have replaced fuel pump relay. Next suggestion was to replace ecm fuse - but...

The bigger question here is whether or not the fuel pump is delivering fuel when it runs. Fuel pumps work on pressure. Once the pressure builds up in the fuel lines it will shut off until the pressure drops, then it turns on again. The fact that your pump doesn't turn off suggests that either it's not pumping any fuel out of the tank or it's not building any pressure. First thing to do is make sure there is fuel in the tank. It's possible your fuel guage has stopped working and is giving a false reading.Start looking for gas leaking under the car. A leak that let's the pump run continuously should leave a very visible wet spot. Look at the top of the tank as best you can too. Loosen the fuel line at the throttle body and see if you have pressure there. Maybe it's pouring fuel into the engine and creating a flooding condition. The fact that it runs continuously would suggest the problem isn't the filter. If the filter was plugged it would build pressure. If you can't find anything here I think you are going to have to drop the tank and start looking in there to see why it isn't picking up fuel, possibly replacing the pump. Hope this helps.

Where is the fuel pump relay located on a 2000 mazda miata?

Should be located on the fender well under your hood in a black box, The top pops off and the location of your Fuel relay should be marked on the box cover. Good luck to you.

I have and 07 Miata PRHT that has a lifter noise under mild acceleration but not all the time. It has 71000 miles. I run 5w20 synthetic oil. Can you give me any suggestions?

Try running a higher grade fuel in it such as 89 or 93 octane. Usually the ticking you here under acceleration is from poor fuel quality

2002 mazda miata mx5 has strong gasoline smell in trunk. Had smoke test done at dealership and showed no leaks. Help.

The fill pipe is right back there. Check to see if a hose has been damaged. Check the spout area, is there a overflow pipe or a seam that could be leaking into the trunk?

Have you checked that you have power to the coil on cranking? You may also want to check wether you have a good strong spark at the spark plug.It could be an ignition module breaking down.If you have no power to the coil you may need to change the ignition relay. Its close to the battery.
