My electric cooling fan only works when the a/c is on

I have a 95 Corvette and am looking for a solution for the coolant system. My car runs at a normal temp range only when the A/C is on. Reading the GM repair manuals it notes three coolant relays one for each fan assy and a third which appears to control low and high temp ranges. I've also read where the ECM can get reprogrammed at a GM dealership so that it kicks in automatically at lower temps. If I don't keep the A/C engaged the temp climbs to est. 230f before both fans kick in which can't be normal. Is it time to simple replace all three relays and move on..........

I have a 96 Corvette, and the cooling fan does not come on until 235 degrees F (this is normal), just wanted to check and see that you are aware of this? do you have a wscanner thqat can read live data so you can watch the ECT readings?

The electric fan will not come on until the gauge is around 225-230. When the air is on the fan works constantly. That is why your car runs cooler with the air on. I have found that in stop and go traffic it is best to run the air. Mid America corvette sells a unit that will kick your fan on at a lower temp if you desire. I hope this helps.

My Vette has a rough idle and the radiator cooling fans come on when it is cold

Usually the fans would come on because the computer is attempting to prevent the engine from overheating. Sort of a default action.
Or the cooling system is low on coolant and no liquid is reaching the temp sensor.
Have you been able to narrow down which cylinder and if it is spark or fuel related ?

1995 corvette automatic, the shifter is stuck.

shift lever solenoid is going bad, my 95 Z28 had the same problem, seems to be a common problem with chevys around that year, u might have to take the console out, but on the camaro u can take just the cover off anyhow when u get to this point there will be an electrical plug next to the bottom of the shifter, usually on the drivers side, u can just unplug the connector and it will work fine but beware that when u do this the car will now shift without your foot applied to the brake, i just left mine unplugged, besides what kind of dummy shifts out of park without their foot on the brake! good luck, hope i helped out

1992 corvette - cooling fans do not actuate at temperature.

Do the fans come on when you turn on the air conditioner. I do believe the temp switch for the fan is on the passenger side of the engine above the starter.
