Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I can't open the trunk of my 2000 grand jeep cherokee laredo

I locked my car, then several hours later went to get something out of the trunk and it wouldn't open at all.

Have you tried pressing firmly at the bottom-center and then trying?
If you get it open, spray the lock mechanism with some durable lubricant - not WD-40 or similar since these lose most of their volume through evaporation.

My 2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo has power windows and locks well out of know where all of it stoped working. i can not find the fuse anywhere. is this my problem and where is the fuse at or could it be...


I just went through this with one of our Jeeps. Look in the wire harness that goes between the door and the body of the Jeep to see if there are broken wires in there. This happened to me on my 04 Grand and I had to fix a broken wire and everything worked perfect after that.

tHEY MECHCANISIMS IN THEM RUST UP AND DONT LIKE TO WORK TRY REMOVING INNER PART OF TAIL GATE AND SPRAY WITH dw-40 and move them till they become free its basically rods that do the work of opening and closing sorry bout caps

you need to check wiring between lf door and body..peel back rubber boot and pull on wires..you will find 1 or more broken wires..can be repaired

Alarm sounding upon unlocking door with key


there is a sensor that tells the anti theft module you used the key to unlock the door, it is attached to the door latch or lock cylinder, u must have disconnected the wire to the sensor, so it thinks u are breaking into the car.
