Question about 1988 Volkswagen Golf
My golf 1.3 1988 when in gear it sounds like it's got a supercharger!! LOL!
but when i depress the clutch it sounds like a normal car. any ideas?
when it drives its like a whinning sound. apart from that the cars MINT.
First check the oil level in the gearbox. The noise you hear sounds as though the pressure plate of the clutch is faulty. If every time you press the clutch pedel the noise goes away it points to the clutch. If this model has a manual clutch cable adjuster, try and adjust it to see if there is any inprovement.
