Just make sure your Focus has all 10 pins wired in the Connector plug.

I bought a used Intermittent Stalk to upgrade mine, but on the Steering column, only 9 pins are wired.
The #1 pin isnt wired to anything... cunningly, the #1 pin is the one that enables the Intermittent feature.

Any ideas??

Its a straight swap, just pop off the top half of the steering column and unclip the old stalk from its housing and remove the wiring harness

Probably a bad stalk switch. That's the lever with the wipers and intermittent wiper speeds. Some need special screwdriver tips to remove.the part. Be careful with disconnecting the wire plugs.

What is the relay location in the relay box

The problem would be in the stalk controller. The wiper Relay is what provides power to the motor for all settings, the delayed wipers, low speed, and high speed. There are not 3 relays, but 1 for all functions. If you have power to the high setting, the relay is working.

Wipers not working

A little trick to try is untightening the mounting bolts of the wiper motor and then retightening. Sometimes its a matter of re-establishing a good ground.

The wiper parking problem is an internal wiper motor function. Some electric contacts are suppose to derail the motor and it is suppose to cycle into the locked position and turn off. Its last movements are automatic.

The intermittent part of the problem can be the contact switch on the turn stalk but there is a timer box on some models which the stalk switch controls. Some wiper motors have the timer box beneath a shield on the wiper motor. Those controls can be changed.

On my Focus I get intermittant 12V at the connector, when the wiper switch on the steering column is on

Hello, The wipers are intermittent until you get to the last 2 positions, steady low and steady high. So for testing purposes you would need to turn the selector to those positions for steady power.

Here is a method for fixing the contacts on certain wiper stalks. It is a photo by photo guide for repair. I know you have a car, but these photos are good reference. Otherwise you will need to replace the entire stalk switch.

To my knowledge, there is NOT. You'd have to swap out the entire Powertrain (a later MY 2.7 V6) and wire harness and PCM (Powertrain Control Module).
