I scanned my 2002 pathfinder & it say random misfire I checked every coil & there good I think but I can hear it arching is it my valve timing control solenoid power supply circuit # 2

Try putting silicone spark plug dielectric grease in the spark plug boots after pulling them off and cleaning them. It could also be bad wires. Try running at night in the dark, then you can see sparks if the wires are leaking.

I have a 1990 dodge d150 it skips while running and in driving range it had started and just got worse what could the problem be?

Spark plugs could be burnt and misfiring. Spark plug wire could be arching. Check the distributor cap and rotor for excessive wear.

AFTER HEAVY RAIN ENIGNE LOST POWER MOTOR SHAKES WHEN IDLING CHECK ENIGNE LITGH ON AND BLINKING

Seems like you may have a multiple cylinder misfire issue. Please have the computer scanned to verify the problem. It may give you espcific cylinder misfire codes which would be a good starting point. Check your spark plug wires for arching, rub through marks or any other kind of defect/damage and replace if needed. Check the coil for cracks and arching as well. Check spark plugs for cracks and carbon tracking and report your findings. Good luck.

1997 pontiac grand am with no. 4 cyclinder misfire

What have you checked so far? What engine? Check spark plug for ware, cracks and carbon tracking. Check the ignition wires for damage and voltage leaks, this could be done by spraying the wires with soapy water. If the car runs rough or you see arching replace the wires. Check for spark and check the ignition coil and replace as needed.if you still having problems you may have to check the injector or perhaps do a compression test.

Loss of power

no, the spark plug wires are arching out. that means that the plug wires are bad and need changed. if good you will not see them arching in day or night. when changing wires, check the plugs also! good-day !

THESE VAN ARE KNOW FOR INTAKE GASKETS LEAKING INTERNALLY,CAUSING A MIS-FIRE. LOOK UNDER THROTTLE BODY AREA FOR COOLANT LAYING IN THE GULLY IF YOU SEE ANYTHING REPLACE INTAKE GASKETS FIRST. IF NOTHING IS LEAKING SPRAY SOME SOAPY WATER ON THE SPARK PLUG WIRES WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING AND CHECK FOR ARCHING, IF ARCHING IS FOUND REPLACE THE PLUGS AND WIRES.

1999 Ford Taurus 3.0L V6 24V DOHC Duratec Engine Engine was misfiring, plugs replaced, KAM erased, Idles Slow and Rough. OBDII says misfire ocurring on cyl 4 & 5. Codes P0300, P0304 and P0305

i would check the plug wires and the coils you check the plug wires for bad spots at night start the motor up and look at the plugs if you see a spark arch out the wire and to a peace of metal then the plug wires need to be replace.

2001 beetle 1.8T "No spark"

Never let the spark plug gap (between electrode and ground) exceed 5mm (0.20 in) when checking for spark, as the power output stage may be damaged. Always ground the plug on the engine when checking for sparks.

If there is no spark, visually ensure that the engine speed sensor plug is connected properly and that the speed sensor is secured into the mount in the cylinder block. If the above inspection reveals no obvious defects, then test the ignition coil output stage and ignition coils.

Next time if you want to see if electricity is leaking out the insulation, use water in a spray bottle and spray around the suspected area. You'll see it arching around the mist of water. You could also kill yourself, it's not similar to a stun gun which your body can tolerate.

CHANGING SPARK PLUGS FOR 1997 OLDSMOBILE AURORA

Very easy process but takes a little time. Remove plastic cover on top of engine to uncover wires going back to ignition coils. Remove plug wire and trace back to coil. Remove and replace spark plugs on at a time, same with wires. Spark plugs need .5 gap. good luck
