Check the color of the tranny fluid.
If it's very dark red or black you need to change it and the filter.
Then also if the Jeep has alot of miles on it and the fluid was never changed, doing the fluid change can make your vehicle not move.
I've seen this happen plenty of times at the dealer(the transmission has clutch plates with asbestos on them, when they wear down , all the asbestos stays in the fluid which helps it shift. When you drain the fluid, guess what-theasbestos is lost and now we have grab between the clutch plates).
The end result with that is a rebuilt transmission.
I hope this was informative.

I have a problem with my gear box i have a jeep grand cherokee

Your transmission apparently is not downshifting properly. From your description, it sounds as though it is in 2nd or 3rd gear, which is why it is slow to accelerate. When you shift into 1st, it is starting off in 1st gear as it should. You probably should have a transmission shop check it out. Check engine light on?

Your transmission is "downshifting" which is a normal function...However if it's happening early, the throttle cable may be out of adjustment. This does not happen in 3rd gear because that's how the system is designed. Downshifting is a 4 (od) to 3rd gear shift...if already in 3rd, this won't happen. As long as trans shifts normally on flat ground with no slipping or delayed shifts, just service it regularly and it should be fine.

I believe your throttle positioning sensor is actually to blame. These are just the first signs of it going bad. I had the same problem and if you let it go you will end up on the side of the interstate because it will keep sputtering and dying. Then you will have to have a parts store come deliver a $60 dollar part to you on the side of I-95. It is only two screws and an easy fix. I am about 90 persent sure that is what your problem is.
