Problem with Volvo 2007 V40

volvo v40 central locking does not work

When i press the fob it clicks as if it has locked the doors but it has not. if i lock door with key it does not work can you help

Hi there, this is a very common fault, you need to replace the drivers door actuator to stop the noise, ive done loads of these. hope this helps.

dont go through all the hassles of removing the door trim just take the terminal off the battery for about a minute then reconect again worked on mine good luck

sequence for freelander lock unlock, to lock 1press = door lock , 2press = door dead lock , to unlock 1 press = driver door unlock, 2 press = passenger doors unlock, also rear window can be operated from fob to do so press and hold unlock button for 3 or more seconds and rear window will roll down.neat feature.hope this helps
