Need to change the a/c evaporator

I can't find a manual that will walk me through changing the a/c evaporator in my 2000 sebring convertaible. We have narrowed it down to that as the issue but the shop wants 800.00 for the repair due to the labor..

If you have never done this sort of repair I do not recomend attempting it. Due to the location and certs needed to perform this, it is best left for the pros.

How do I fix the lifters on my 2000 chrysler sebring lxi? Do I have to do anything special with them or just go buy them from autozone and replace them?

You need to change the cam as well and you will need to check each lifter to see if you need to change the rocker assembly. If the rocker Assembly is worn out that may be your only problem. The lifters if they leaked would rattle if they leaked down but after warming up would stop, however if they rattle all the time it could be just the rocker assembly worn out but would need to know which engine is in it as there are 4 listed for that unit.

There is a cover over the bulb that is removed by turning counter clockwise. (as viewed from the back of the housing)
Remove the spring clip that holds the bulb and pull out bulb.
Plug in new bulb (do not touch glass with hands) and install re-install spring clip and back cover.

2000 sebring conv.

There are two little fasteners that need to be pryed/pulled off. They will pull off with a little force. I got one started with a screwdriver and the other with a pair of needle nose pliers. Once these two fasteners are off, the cover should come right out.

Changing transmission fluid ?

Let a mechanic do it. Messing with your transmission is crazy. If you have never had your transmission fluid changed I wouldnt even do it. Changing it might cause problem, the transmission is used to a thicker fluid seeing it would be older. Putting new thinner fluid in could ruin it
