Window off-track How do I remove the door panel of my 89 mustang gt and put the window back on-track?

Remove the inside paneling off the door and loosen the track bottom anchor screw Spred the track apart far enough to get the window back in it then adjust the track to allow window to work and re tighten the anchor screw

hi cassie. Get a replacement motor and track assembly as opposed to just the motor. This alone will save you tons of time and aggracation. Next, Remove the interior panel from the door by removing the screws first and then gently prying the clips. the door panel may have some wires leading to itfot the power windows, etc. Then remove the old track and install the new, take pix with your cell phone along the way so you dont forget how something goes. pull door panel off to get to window now it depends if you have electric or manual windows

Not sure about the odyssey but i own an acura integra (honda). The door panel is held on by about three screws, after you remove thoes start at the bottom of the door and pull out the tabs around the door when the door panel is pulled from the door lift it up and away from the door. (it slids in beside the window) then unplug the electrical connectors and set it aside. I recommend 3M's window weld found at autozone, clean out the window track and glass apply some 3M according to the container and put the window back in the track. Roll the wondow all the way up and leave it closed for atleast 24 hours. Put the door panel back on in reverse order from how it came off.

You remove the door panel,to get to everything.
You may have to replace the window regulator or cable.
You don't just put it back on track,it broke.
Were long sleeves and thin gloves,to avoid cuts,while working inside the door panel

one side of the window attachment tract may have come unglued. you need an epoxy to reattach it.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Pull back the weather seal and you can access the window and the track. You may need to purchase some new replacement clips that secure the window onto the track.

The window is not properly seated in the front vertical track.

This is a professional job for a conv. top shop. has to be sewn in at the bottom.

Removal
NOTE: Mark vinyl to be removed so it can be returned to the same position after disassembly.

1. Remove sail area panels as outlined.

1. Remove staples retaining elastic straps at each side of back window glass (42006) to rear tacking strip and folding top rear number 4 bow (51278) and remove elastic straps.

1. Remove staples retaining rear bow corner pad (537A71) and bottom of folding top back window curtain (52500) to rear tacking strips.

1. Remove staples retaining top of folding top back window curtain to folding top rear number 4 bow and remove back window glass .

1994 mustang. don't have 89 Window, Rear Installation
NOTE: Transfer markings from the removed assembly.

1. Mark with grease pencil center point on folding top rear number 4 bow in line with hole on rear of folding top rear number 4 bow .
