I had a similar problem, it turned out to be the front U joints. Have them checked very soon! I drove mine for a while before fixing and my tires were ready to fall off. Could have caused a very bad accident.

HHR 2006. Front end shaking. Had a mechanic look & told me struts/shocks, car made poorly ... low, etc. NOW when start and driving loud noise similar to diesel cars--putt, putt. Drives alright....

Get a second and third opinion from other local mechanics.
Does the shaking chang with speeds? It possible you have a tire with slipped internal belt.
Could be a few other things too..
Sound issue may or may not be related. Have more than one guy look at it.

I have a 2001 chevy impala ls when i drive it over 50 it starts shaking alot already changed the tires took it to see if it need repalcement shocks but they cant find the problem

Could be you need a Wheel Balance. Take it back to the company who supplied the new tyres, and ask them to balance the wheels for you. It is a very moderate charge, and I think that it will solve all your problems.

I just bought an2003 ford explorer 4x4 and i have a loud humming noise coming from the front end tires are brand new it has around 190,000km please help

If the noise is only when the vehicle is moving it sounds lek you have a bad wheel bearing. You can inspect ford move ment or play shaking the tires up and down and left to right while lifted up on hoist or jack. If there is no movement doesn't necesarily mean the bearings are okay, however if there is movement in bearing replace and drive again. Antoher way to determine Which wheel bearing is bad is to drive and turn to the left, if the noise gets louder than it mens the rightside wheel bearung is bad. If you turn to the right and noise gets louder replace driver side front wheel bearing. Also Rub your hands across your tires, does it feel wavy or uneven, you could have cupped tires, I DON'T KNOW HOW NEW THEY are but cupped tires will also make this noise. One way to see if it is the tires is to do a rotate If noise changes at all then you no its a tire causing noise. Hope this helps.

2004 volks jetta,, weird noise and slight shaking from left front tire area ,, just had all new tires put on still shaking and a knocking noise

Is the noise apparent when you are making a turn? It sounds like you may have a CV joint problem. When they put new tires on did the installer mentioned that you needed your cv boot or axle replace?

My 2001 chevy blazer makes humming noise when i drive. i just put new tires on the front and the had alignment fixed. noise is progessively getting worse.

Are the front tires the exact same size as the rear tires .different size tires can cause a binding in the transfer case.
