Question about 1992 Pontiac Bonneville
I was driving alone when suddenly the car would not speed up but the car seems to be running fine my boyfriend said that there was some rattling noise coming from the tranny pan under the hood he saya that it sounds like the fly wheel my have come loose or somethig is this possible
Not likely possibly the cover for torque converter may be loose. if rattling coming from pass. side may be belt tensioner/or water pump. to check shut engine off remove serp. belt check water pump pulley for play by wiggling back an forth do same with belt tensioner. check trans fluid level while on level surface engine warm&running tranny in park. some gm cars have had problems with crank shaft pulleys making rattling noise also.
