1997 GMC Jimmy Crank Angle Sensor

I need to replace the crank angle sensor on my 1997 GMC Jimmy.  I can barely afford the part right now and would like to install it myself.  Does anyone have or know of a link to a diagram/instructions on how to replace the sensor?  Has anyone ever replaced one before?  I have looked everywhere and have found nothing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's at the front of the engine and below the and left of the front of the crank shaft.
dis-connect negative attery cable
dis-connect the electical connector to the sensor
un-bolt it and pull it out
reversr for installation

Where can I find the crank sensor on a 2009 Nissan Titan v8 truck?

i think it's the starter. On most nissans, the starter and the crank position sensor are close to each other. Some nissans have 4 position sensors, between crank sensor, crank angle sensor, cam position sensor, and sensor sensing sensor, oh and cam angle sensor. Oh wait, maybe it's a bad ground. Nope, gotta be the staerter.

Replaced transmission now it will not start

some vehicles have crank angle sensor fitted to belhousing, by removing trans can damage the sensor or may be forgot to connect the socket. also if its a manual and has a dual mass flywheel then excessive play on dual mass can upset the crank angle sensor timing

How do i replace the crank position sensor on a 2000 jeep grand cherokee

If you have the type of crank angle sensor shown in the image, then it will be located on the bell-housing towards the top of the bell-housing and usually on the drivers side. Dis-connect the faulty crank angle sensor and then un-bolt the two bolts that secure the crank angle sensor to the bell-housing and then remove the sensor. The best access to the crank angle sensor is from under the vehicle.

1995 gmc jimmy has no spark or feul what should i look for??? It just cranks...

If there is no spark and no fuel I'd look at the crank angle sensor. This detects the motor position and the ecu fires the plugs and injectors respectivly. Is there fuel pressure at the injector rail or no fuel at all?
