Won't start

95 Prizm has been getting more reluctant to start. It would turn over and not start, I'd wait a sec and then it would start. It has been getting more frequent until tonight when it refused to start. It turns over energetically, but there is no fire. I know you're not supposed to "pump" the accelerator, but I tried that and it felt like it wanted to try to start, but didn't. Car has 209K and has been a good car. Mostly minor work done on it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
