the motor may be turning but i expect the control wire's have frayed or snapped, you will need to replace the complete window regulater component , for now jam the window in the up position with some cardboard folded over so it squeezes in the window channel and against the glass , this will keep the window from sliding down , you will need a mechanic to replace the regulator , dont touch the switch anymore as you may get the window down but not be able to push it back up , keep me posted if you wish
the window glue has come lose - this is a simple fix at ur local repair shop - or better yet - take down the VIN number and call the local dealer ask them for any recalls - also - - try a local body shop if shopping for price on the window fix - -
if u can remove the panel - this will give u a little cheaper price
There is a regulator inside the door that connects the window to the motor. They are connected with a plastic clip. If the motor is working, as you say, then that clip i sprobably broken. You should be able to get a new clip from the dealer and have it installed.
There will be 5 to 7 screw that are only visable with the door open. You must take all of them out, and then pull the rubber trim that touches the outside of the window up. Be carefull...the door panel will want to fall off if you are not careful. The problem may be a small plastic piece that slides in the rail hooked to the bottom of the window. I replaced one for about $10, and it was readily available at my local dealership.
