Ignition timing specs

I have a 1974 Gran Torino with a 351W engine H code and I was wondering if you could tell me the timing specs on that vehicle along with whether or not it came with a point ignition or an electrical ignition

I have a Gran Torino also and the best place to find that answer is at the Library reference section ( those books can't be checked out so there complete) just copy what you need, there located were they have all the older car repair manual. I once worked at the library part time so I know well. Those old school manual had everything you needed very detailed section by section. Unlike chiltons books today for civilian use they have nothing at all.

I have engine from 1984 ford crown victoria. it isnota a302 ci. i was told it is a 351 windser when i brought it. how many engine size came with the 1984 crown vic? or what engine do i have?

Crown Victorias that year came with two engine options.
The regular Crown Vic had a 302 cubic inch engine.
The Police version had a 351W.
The 351W is a much better, stronger engine.
The easiest way to tell at a glance is to see if you can access the bottom thermostat housing bolt with a socket. If you can it's a 351W. If you can only get a wrench on that bolt, then it's a 302.

Cylinder number 5 misfire, what is the cause? connected obd II and detected number 5 cylinder misfire?

I'm assuming the code that was pulled is P0305. Best case would be a bad spark plug on the number 5 cylinder. Keep in mind, the spark plugs are torque sensitive when installing. These are the possible causes that are stated in a Jeep service manual for your vehicle. Check the basics first......Camshaft,crankshaft,valve timing or vacuum problem, ignition coil output is low, engine internal mechanical problem, secondary ignition pattern is irregular, fuel contamination, Fuel pressure leak down is out of spec, fuel pump ampere out of spec, fuel pump capacity out of spec, fuel pressure is out of spec., engine compression, PVC system restriction, Fuel injector #5 is defective or the connection on the injector itself is loose or corroded, Intake gasket defective. It could also be freeze frame data in the PCM, but this is a very very rare cause.

I have a 1994 ford bronco with a 5.8 351w. when ignition is turned to accessories the fuel pump will come on for 2-3 sweconds then go off,but after a few minutes it will come on and stay on. when the...

Take your Bronco to an Autozone or Oreillys for a free scan. Offhand a new ignition switch would seem like a good idea, because the fuelpump should not be working in the ACC position.
If a new ignition switch does not help the fuelpump problem the pump is wired to an accessory. You need to look up the fuse info in an owners manual.

Just replaced steering coluim in a 2002 chevy cavalier and the car won't start how do i get the theftlock code

Ignition keys relearn takes about 30 min to do. 30-Minute Learn Procedure 1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON; the vehicle will not start. 3. Observe the SECURITY tell tale light. After approximately 10 minutes, the light will turn OFF. 4. Turn OFF the ignition switch, and wait 5 seconds. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 - two more times - for a total of 3 cycles of 10 minutes. 3x10 = 30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch turn from OFF to CRANK Important: Turn the Ignition Switch OFF. The vehicle learns the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. 6. Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password. 7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed. History DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles. Without a scan tool you may have momentary starter interruptions while history clears itself.

You are posting your reply in the wrong place but I accidentally found it. Check the ceramic resistor block (usually on the firewall, drivers side or on the fender, same side) and make sure it has continuity If that fails, ignition will not work. Also check that you have voltage to the coil.
