My power seats wont work on my 2000 jimmy cant find fuses or circuit breakers for the seats can you help thanks john

there is a 25 amp circuit breaker for seats.should be marked POWER SEATS in the fuse block. the ORANGE wire at the switch gets power from that breaker, so check the ORANGE wire for power.

My seats quit moving and I checked my fuses the circuit breaker for the power seats was very very hot...So i ordered another circuit breaker and when it came in I installed it. It was working fine..then...

I would have this checked out by a trained technician or your likely to cause a fire. these seats do go bad over time and most can't be fixed they need replaced.

Can you please tell me were exacaly were this circuit breaker is for electric window thanks

Under the drivers seat, in the b piller area on the floor. Check the RED wire at the power window switch and if it does not have power, then check the breaker and relay (relay is beside the breaker). If the sun roof works, the breaker and sunroof/window relay is good.

Sunroof will not work

Power is supplied to the Power windows and sunroof through the power window circuit breaker. That circuit breaker is supplied power through the RAP (retained accessory power) Relay, the RAP relay also supplies power to the radio. The RAP relay is also fuse protected by the RAP fuse in the under hood fuse block. The RAP relay is energized by the BCM body control module.

The RAP relay is responsible for the radio and windows working after the igntion is turned off.

The first place to check would be the RAP fuse in the under hood fuse block and then the RAP relay in the Body fuse block.

A list of the BODY relay block located on the left side of the dash to the right of the interior fuse block is below:

(1) Park Lamp Relay (2) Courtesy Lamp Relay (3) Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Relay (4) Power Seats Circuit Breaker (5) Power Windows Circuit Breaker (6) Inadvertent Power Relay (7) Door Lock Relay (8) Headlamp Ground Relay (9) Driver Door Unlock Relay (10) Door Unlock Relay(1) Park Lamp Relay

Power windows stopped working

If ALL the windows quit working, then it's either a bad circuit breaker or a short circuit. There are two fuse/relay/breaker panels: under the hood and under the back seat cushion. The power window circuit breaker is under the back seat cushion, near the battery. Remove the back seat completely, then remove the fuse panel top and inner cover. The fuse diagram is inside the top cover. Circuit breaker # 57 is the one. Pull it out. Use your voltmeter/multi-tester to check for continuity through the breaker. If there's no continuity, the breaker is bad and needs to be replaced. If it's good, then you have a dead short somewhere that causes the self-resetting breaker to uncouple when you attempt to operate a window. If so, the short will need to be traced down and repaired. Good luck.

Power window on driver side stopped working and the door locks stopped working . Also this morning the battery was dead but nothing was left on.

It sounds like you may a faulty door lock switch. If you pushed the switch to lock the doors and the switch stuck and kept door lock solenoids energized, that would drain the battery. It would also keep the door locks from unlocking, as to why window don't work it could all be on the same fuse or circuit breaker. Usually the power windows are on an automatic reset circuit breaker. Do you hear click and a short time later another click (with the battery charged)? If so that the circuit breaker tripping then resetting. Good luck!

Where are the fuse boxes for a 1987 cadillac de ville

prev.gif next.gif Circuit Breakers A circuit breaker in the light switch protects the headlight circuit. A separate 30 amp breaker mounted on the firewall protects the power window, seat, and power top circuits. Circuit breakers open and close rapidly to protect the circuit if current is excessive. Buzzers, Relays, and Flashers The electrical protection devices are located in the convenience center, which is a swing down unit located under the instrument panel. All units are serviced by plug-in replacements.

the passive restraints control module is behind the panel by the gas pedal.

The fuse is a 30 amp fuse taht also controls power window. in battery box under hood in front of battery. chart on cover.
then it goes through left hand circuit breaker which is behind leftkick panel above fuse panel I think. there are 2 circuit breakers next to each other.

Powered windows not working

It is not a fuse it is a circuit breaker, all data shows it as located near JB1 which is the Junction Box/Fuse Box located on the drivers side interior of the car. Left Kick Panel.
30AMP Circuit Breaker
There shows to be 2 breakers there, one for the seat belts and the other for PWR Windows, and Door Locks
