2006 HHR Chevy starting problem

My 2006 HHR Chevy clicks, but won't start.

    I have a 2006 chevy hhr with the same problem battery is fully charged and car still won't start it just clicks.

    I have the same problem.  Battery is fully charged.

    probably related to the saturn ion and the cobalt ignition switch issues

    Just had that problem died while driving it was the fuel pump fuse got it to start now it is going to the dealer to be fixed that was scarry to be going along and to just stop running.

    Check and clean the terminal connections to the battery, If this doesn't solve the issue replace the starter.

    Clean battery terminal connections, if that don't work have battery and alternator tested at your local auto parts store, most will perform this free of charge .

HHR WONT START-------yellow 60 fuse under the hood---bet its blown.....its actually the power steering fuse....crazy, i know but check/replace it---yoour car will start.......good luck

Location traction control


When mine started doing that ,t/c/ light on and off when I would hit a tiny bump or not shortly after I started loosing power steering also everything was out of whack .FIX for me was replacing both solenoids.$50 to $65.00 for both .Order online or Chevy dealer parts .Look at youtube video easy to put in step by step ,or pay $89.00 to have done for you.

2006 Chevy HHR not starting no click or any noise when turning the switch all lights come on as if nothing was wrong!


yes and also your powersteering has no pump or fluid its electric assist under the dash so that is a electric connection problem.. Check your ground on your engine and battery for good connections. look for any straps from engine to frame also.. If the ignition switch is bad it too can be cutting power to the powersteering unit just a thought

2006 hhr 2.4 won't start after replacing both camshaft position sensors.


Did you remember to plug in the MAF sensor? Are you sure the air chamber is correctly installed on the throttle body?
