Headlights come on discharging battery, when every thing is off

My 1994 mazda mpv will turn on lights or just drain the battery the only way I can shut them off is to blink or turn the turn signal switch until they go out. If I fully charge the battery fairly new 6 month old I can go to a place in town or to church and be there an or hour or so and it will be dead becuase the lights will come after I walk away.

Sounds like a relay switch it is under the hood it will be located it the fuse box and it is a little black box like item with numbers on it. it will say on the cover to this box what it is .Like headlight dim or bright . well any way just go to auto part store and ask for it. a head light rely . then you will cheep fix.

My mazda mpv 2004 keeps discharging my battery, what could be wrong with it?

many things can drain the battery: a weak battery connection, a faulty component, or a small short. check to see if the braking lights stay on after you have exited the car. I know how that sounds, but it could happen that the braking pedal switch is loose. just an idea. best luck to you.

1992 Mazda mpv . Won't hold charge . Engine won't

The first thing to do is have the battery tested, just because you charged it doesn't mean it will stay charged if the cells are sulfated up or shorted.

I have a 1994 mazda mpv , the headlights keep coming on in te daytime when the car isnt running depleting the battery.

Yes, the light switch goes bad and turns the head lights on. #1You can replace the switch for about $350.00. #2 you can turn the brights on before turning of the car but if you forget -- the battery will be dead again. #3 this is what I did, I removed the fuse, under the hood, and ran a new fuse - outside of the fuse box to a switch that I installed on the dash so that I can turn off the powerto the lights -- now they stay off. I also installed a buzzer so if the door is opened it will let so know that the lights are still on. Now it is fool proof. No more dead battery.
